Summary
Every tool on this site runs entirely in your browser. We do not operate a server-side database, do not require accounts, and do not sell or share personal information — because we don't collect any to begin with. The sections below explain exactly what limited data touches your device, and your rights under applicable US law.
What we don't collect
Passwords, images, food logs, calculator inputs — none of it is sent to, or stored on, our servers. We have no user accounts and no server-side database.
What's stored locally on your device
A few tools save small preferences using your browser's local storage, so they persist between visits:
- Dark/light theme choice
- Screen ruler calibration (your display's measured PPI)
- Today's food log in the calorie calculator (auto-clears the next day)
This data stays on your device — we never receive it. Clearing your browser's site data removes it.
Cookies and tracking technologies
We don't set our own tracking or advertising cookies, and we don't use browser fingerprinting. If we later add analytics or advertising, this section — and the CCPA "Do Not Sell or Share" section below — will be updated before that change goes live, with an opt-out mechanism where required.
California residents: your CCPA/CPRA rights
Under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CCPA/CPRA), California residents have the right to know what personal information a business collects, request deletion of it, correct inaccuracies, opt out of its sale or sharing, and not be discriminated against for exercising these rights.
Our position: we don't collect personal information on our servers in the first place (see above), so there is nothing to sell, share, or hand over in response to a request — but you're still welcome to submit one at info@rockingtools.com and we'll confirm this in writing.
Other US state privacy laws
Residents of Virginia (CDPA), Colorado (CPA), Connecticut (CTDPA), Utah (UCPA), and other states with comprehensive privacy laws have broadly similar rights to those described above. The same position applies: we don't collect the kind of personal information these laws are designed to protect. Contact us at the address above with any state-specific request.
Children's privacy (COPPA)
This site is not directed at children under 13, and in compliance with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Since we don't collect personal information from any visitor, this is inherently the case rather than a separate technical control — but if you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we'll investigate.
"Do Not Track" signals
Some browsers send a "Do Not Track" signal. Because we don't track visitors across sites or set tracking cookies, there's currently nothing for this signal to opt you out of — but we honor its spirit by design.
Affiliate links
Some pages include affiliate links to third-party products. If you click through and make a purchase, we may earn a commission. We don't control, and aren't responsible for, those third-party sites' own data practices — check their privacy policies separately.
Third-party services
Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which may log basic request data (like IP address) per Google's own policies. No other third-party scripts run on this site as of the date above.
Changes to this policy
We'll update the "Last updated" date above whenever this policy changes.
